Relationship Challenges

Relationships can be very important in life. They can provide us with connection, laughter, happiness, shared experiences and comfort. But, relationships can also be difficult, disappointing and at times, toxic and/or unhealthy. If you want to learn how to align yourself with people who support you, are genuine and bring positivity to your life, learning effective communication is a good place to start.

As we grow and move towards healing, our relationships may change. This is not always a bad thing, although it can feel bad. We can work together on processing the grief and loss associated with relationships you no longer have, relationships you want but don’t have, and relationships that are difficult and painful for you to be in. This can be a romantic relationship, a friendship, family relationships, or work relationships.

Learning Healthy Communication Tools can help with:

  • Building and maintaining healthy relationships

  • Letting go of unhealthy, unsupportive relationships

  • Becoming more comfortable with setting boundaries

  • Allow you to value yourself more

We are faced with many different stressors on a day to day basis. Continuing to feel stuck, overwhelmed, unhappy, and worried can limit your capacity to cope with these difficult feelings. Taking care of yourself can look different for everyone. Having the space to work through your experiences, past and present, can help you understand yourself more.
